Tomorrow I get to drink Klingon bloodwine single malt scotch with Chancellor Martok and talk about all things Star Trek in front of a crowd. It's part of Ithaca's Science Cabaret and prelude to the Light In Winter festival, which goes down this weekend.
JG Hertzler is such a talented actor and when not in his bellicose Klingon persona, he's very approachable and friendly. As am I, so they tell me--at least when I'm fueled by scotch. So if you're a Trek fan here in Ithaca, come to Delilah's tomorrow and check out the event. Hope to see you there!
Hi Nick!
I really enjoyed listening to and seeing your presentation at Cornell on Sunday afternoon (I'm the guy who was up in the balcony who during the Q&A phase of your presentation mentioned that I was very inspired by some of your father's books and his passion for teaching/motivating the masses to think more critically, etc.).
On a different note, one snowy January day around twenty years ago a friend of mine (a fellow Kodak photographic seminar presenter) and I bumped into your father who somehow mistook me for one of his grad students. He smiled at me, and said hello. Then recognized that he made a mistake as he got closer and apologized.
I told him no apology was necessary and that I certainly knew who he was.
It was one of those great moments in my life.
Also, I am an Ithaca-based, full-time professional photographer who would be more than happy to be of assistance to you (at no charge) if you even need anything created for you photographically, etc. I do have a lot of experience doing portraiture, editorial, conceptual advertising work, etc.
Once again, it was a true honor and pleasure to see you at the presentation.
Best Regards,
Robert Kaussner
