Suddenly, it's May 18th. This means that several copies of Everfree are in all likelihood available for purchase at a bookstore near you.
How I should feel: Quiet, dignified, filled with a sense of accomplishment, and perhaps a bit wistful.
How I feel: Like the Steve Martin character in The Jerk, jumping around and dancing, shouting, "The new phonebook's here! The new phonebook's here!"
ahahahh that's cool.
and sometimes the gap between how we should feel and than what really feel is huge.
contragulations for the release of Everfree.
In Portugal we [at least me] await for the portuguese translation.
[and hopefully with a good bookcover and title]
P.s. a jornalist has read my new book and she loved, quoting,
"It's awesome, even to me a non sci-fi fan, it held my attention since the beginning. I couldn't
stop it until I got to the very end."
congrats to us both :)
hugs

"He hates these cans!... more cans!"
Couldn't resist.
A quiet, dignified response is greatly overrated. I myself am jumping for joy.
Congratulations on the book being released!

It's Everfree day! I'm so excited! Only I have to finish re-reading Edenborn first :P

This is great news! I've been waiting for the phone book to arrive for ages!

According to all bookstores in Boston, it is not out yet. :(

Ângelo: Congrats!
Carissa: Thanks for telling me--I'll check with my publisher about this on Monday. I've heard that different stores get their stock on different days, but it's supposed to be within just a few days of each other. Hopefully, you won't have long to wait.

Congratulations, Nick! Do you have any signings scheduled? I'd love to get a signed copy of Everfree to round out my collection ;)

Nick
Good Luck with the book.

Scott: Always happy to sign a copy! I don't know what my tour schedule is as yet, but I'll post as soon as I do. Plus, you can always send me a book--I'll send it back signed and/or personalized.
Everyone: Thanks!

Still waiting and hoping for an audiobook version ... any plans?
Posted by: Stacey | May 30, 2006 at 12:01 PM
Nick, congratulations on finishing the trilogy; I waited with despair for Everfree! Now, can we get another awesome audio version for my our iPods?
PS: is there a general address where I might send you a copy of my novel (I'm self publishing and I thought you might like it!)
thanks and again, congratulations!

Add my voice to the crowd: Is an audiobook version forthcoming? I haven't been able to find a copy yet locally, odd in Minneapolis, and am going to have to order it online. But, I can't stand having only 2/3 of a trilogy on my iPod. I bought Edenborn from audible.com the day it came out in print - what's with the gap this time? I hope you're not abandoning that medium - it's how I found Idlewild in the first place.
