Welcome To The Blogosphere

A small but important milestone: I have been welcomed to the blogosphere. A search of Technorati has turned up Joel's Humanist Blog, where Joel has blogged about my blogging. Which means I am now blogging about his blogging about my blogging. Wheels within wheels, I tell you!

Like me, Joel enjoys Halloween and science fiction. He's got a clever, holiday-themed sendup of the 1902 Georges Méliès film, A Trip To The Moon, widely considered the first example of science fiction cinema. Here's a shot from the film and the parody side by side:

That made me laugh. And compared to a moon made of green cheese, I think I'd prefer a pumpkin moon. Er, unless it's this kind of pumpkin moon:
